A Chinstrap penguin (Pygoscelis antarctica) basks in the glow of early the morning light on the beach at Baily Head on the Antarctic Peninsula. Chinstraps are part of the Pygoscelis family or "Brush Tailed" family of penghins due to their long tail feathers. Baily Head is on the volcanic Deception Island and is home to an estimated 100,000 pairs of penguins.
