A Lightmantled Sooty Albatross (Phoebetria fusca) sits on its nest on the cliffs of South Georgia Island. At the start of the breeding season, females will sit on the cliffs while the males fly back and forth calling to the females. Once she finds one she likes, she will let him land and they will begin an elaborate mating ritual that involves head ducking, clacking of bills and rubbing of bills. Eventually they will both fly off for a synchronized flight that is unparalleled in beauty.
