Grizzly bears crowd the rivers and lakes all through Alaska in the summer months to feed on Salmon as they make their way upstream. The bears need the rich salmon to fatten up before they enter their dens for the winter. As you move through bear territory, you must always keep and eye out for the bruins. They are wonderful to watch, but from a distance. These tracks serve as a reminder that you are in their element.
