A pair of Waved Albatross (Diomedea irrorata) touch bills during their courtship ritual. These albatross return to the Galapagos in early April to find their mate and begin breeding. Once they have located their partner they perform an elaborate ritual which includes much bobbing of the head and clapping the bills together. Once both are satisfied with the others performance, then they will proceed to lay a large egg and continue with the business of raising a chick.
