It's easy to see where this Blue-footed booby (Sula sula) gets its name. With their comical mating ritual, these are the most interesting to watch of the three types of boobies in the Galapagos (Red-footed and Masked are the other two). The ritual involves raising the feet to show off the color, and animated wing movements that gives the impression of a dance. Their large blue feet not only look good, but they help propel the birds underwater while chasing after fish.
