Woken from its nap a land iguana (conolophus subcristatus) eyes us suspiciously. Most often these iguanas are seen moving slowly through the low bush, but when they are warmed up, they can move very quickly if the need arises.. These cold blooded reptiles live in burrows they dig into the sandy soil, and feed mostly on cactus plants and flowers.
