| A female Harp
Seal (Phoca groenlandica) takes advantage of a well placed block
of ice for a brief nap. Females give birth and then nurse their
pups for and exhausting two weeks. Once they wean their pups,
the females will feed and nap to replenish their stores of fat
and energy. |
