A close up of a Harp Seal pups (Phoca groenlandica) hand like
flipper. With five fingers and claws, they are remarkably close
to the human hand. They use them in much the same way we would
as well. It is not uncommon to see them pull themselves across
the ice or scratching a hard to reach spot with their nails. |
